Designer's Brief:
Joey Segundo
“Soothing and inviting, this painting makes a serene first impression if placed in an entrance way. The soft, swirling oceanic imagery in Joey Segundo’s Hope reminds me of blue and green sea glass that washes onto the shore. The Janelas Sideboard by Lucas Recchiain in Wild Sea Marble, fused with blue glass, reinforces this sea-glass motif. On this sideboard, I can see my 1977 Crystal Vase in Sapphire as the perfect sea-glass accessory. An entry console needs a key bowl, and the ocean-green of my Rope Bowl in Forresta is a fantastic fit; its shape even fortifies this nautical theme. Finally, I would incorporate this beautiful mouth-blown glass Méne Table Lamp in frosted black by Ross Gardam to create a soft and welcoming glow.”

When in Manila:
An Exhibit to Remember
Featured in When In Manila
The wave of all-women art exhibitions has hit Manila. The “female gaze” is no longer limited to film, but has become an integral part of art and culture in recent years, gaining more recognition as it grows and learns its audience. Some might even call it necessary and affirmative in action. An upcoming exhibit at Ignition Innovations BGC wishes to express this theoretical term in action. The women behind this event and the female artists involved rallied together to celebrate Art, Music and Design from a feminine perspective.
